At the Feb. 5 meeting about the master plan for Shelby Park, the Metro Parks Department, Everton Oglesby Architects and Hawkins Partners presented some history and background on Shelby Park. This information is available in a PDF here or on the Metro Parks website.
More than 100 citizens interested in Shelby Park attended the Feb. 5 meeting to share their ideas about Shelby Park, but the Parks department is continuing to collect ideas until at least Friday, Feb. 20. It is particularly interested in your answers to these questions:
- What issues should be addressed in the plan?
- What are the most important facilities or programs currently offered at Shelby Park that should
be maintained or improved, and what new facilities or programs should be considered? - What do you think makes Shelby Park unique?
